+CASTLE DE CRUX+
EvilZgate News - May 2
In their contemporary field, Castle De Crux appear as a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale and all-too-repetitive music scene; a scene which currently seems to choke all too often on its own generic and derivative vomit!
To make matters worse, AI marches onward like the scary parasitical ghost it can be. One fear for music and the arts in general, is that AI will inevitably be used as more than as just a tool. That it will contaminate and cheapen, even take over the essential creativity and inspiring skills inherent in the making of great work by talented humans. Because of its ease of use for absolutely anyone, disregarding any degree (or lack) of talent, it can be literally everywhere in this saturated age of media. It is distracting people from the genuine and best artists; those who skilfully create on the deepest and most expressive human levels. To experience hand-crafted and heart-felt art is a vital need for humanity.
There is little doubt that AI can be used as a useful tool by artists. It can have a place in creation, but sadly it can also be used to simulate and substitute real human art, as well as infringe copyright. Typically, if it's "easier", cheaper and more profitable, then it will likely dominate everything!
THE VITAL HUMAN CONDITION
where the genuine visions of human imagination and emotional experiences testify
how we really feel,
how we really love
how we really hate
how we really laugh
how we really cry
how we really live
how we really die
genuinely BEING HUMAN!
"We are indeed the artists, the stuff from that dreams are made in the nervous system of human response"

AI AND THE HUMAN CONDITION, THE WORLD TODAY AND THE MIND WITHIN...
CASTLE DE CRUX
I'm certainly not making comparisons with the best artists from the past but honestly there are times when I get rather desperate for some exciting, new, original and meaningful... musical shots in the arm and Castle De Crux engage a most positive response in us here at EvilZgate News. As it appears, when discovered by both enthused and frustrated music fans around the world, many are already seeing them as a new ray of light in this increasingly dystopian age. Hopefully dear reader, you will agree.
So, we stand with the intrepid Castle De Crux, who look at the world through a culturally alternative lens. The gothically influenced duo are actually very much resident in the contemporary world and its problems. Whether such problems originated and grew over millennia, or have been born as a consequence of societies recently pursuit of modernity, with all its chaos and immense complexity, I think you'll agree that something has to change!
Castle De Crux endeavour to capture meaningful stories of both the dark and the light, of bad and good, of innocence and guilt, of struggle and joy, and of simply being alive and whether we actually really do exist or not! Through their music lyrics and visuals, they usually succeed and hopefully inspire others too.
THE WORLD OF TODAY
So now we have reached present-day.
It appears scarier than ever, an era that seems on observation to be equal in measure to the almost inescapable, horrifying structures of our deepest fears and mental limits. The torment and despair evoked is like an ensnaring dungeon, complete with torture devices and abominable monsters. In the subconscious, it can appear as real as any physical form and as foreboding as that scary Castle from your worst nightmares. The dark and distant misty keep of life itself.
Of course, when control of AI eventually goes horribly wrong, the possibility of a future doomsday looms!
Obviously it's not a case of its involvement in just the arts, but that is what we're focussing on here. To clarify, this situation is not any kind of Luddite naivety. Many of the smartest people and most credible professionals on the planet are now concerned about AI and the future, including those who are actually developing it. Let's consider just some of the potential hazards: deepfake threats, hacker risks, and the dangerous potential of those working for hostile foreign governments!
We know how real experiences and their resulting emotions and imaginings are very often the inspiration for deeper creative expression in the arts.
Aside from possibly using it as a tool and aid, Castle De Crux will never use the option of AI to cut corners nor replace the essence that defines them as artists. Like many others, their art can only germinate from a organically inspired human perspective, experiences and emotions. It is from human perspective and experience, as it has been for so long in the history of the creative arts, that so many amazing and original works have been birthed.
It seems that these days, with such easy access to technology for music creation, masses of the (dare I say) less than talented seem determined to clog up an already overly fragmented music market with frivolous mediocrity. With AI becoming so easy to access, if used thoughtlessly, it will only further bog down the creative scenes with even more distractions. This will result in more trivialisation of the human artistic experience.
It seems that we must support the likes of Castle De Crux and other dedicated creatives of substance. They just may have something of real value to say, for such true artists are increasingly becoming a rarity as the years fly by and the old greats retire and pass away.

"For is this is not what it's all about? art, part of what must separate us truly from the machines!"
Just like anyone, Castle De Crux have their fears and trepidations.
While this is apparent in their work, so is their dedication and care and hope.
THE UNNERVING CASTLE
Thus we embark upon the inner lonely sanctum,
this unnerving Castle... internal and born of this life!
Born of this modern world with its mental pressures, disorientating corridors and feindish traps.
You can explore personal domain and while it may be hard to escape from, it is actually formed by and of the 'inner human self'... in its non-corporeal existence, whether good or bad it is that which we have made within ourselves.
Dark rooms manifest, stemming from our subconscious fears, but they can also be made of light with our hopes and most positive dreams.
Ultimately, it can be said to be made from the very frailties of our intrinsic souls.
